Use Your HD2 USB Port As A Host
August 18, 2011 By: egzthunder1
The titan of all time, the HD2 still has a lot of mileage left under its 4.3 inch hood. Even in its native Windows Mobile 6.5, people seem to still be going rather hard at it in terms of development. In this new development, XDA member Cotulla from the DFT team brings us another jaw dropping development on this wonderful device. It seems that after a long time, mainly due to him putting this project off to make room for things like Windows Phone 7 and several other projects that he has worked on over the last year and a half. Enabling USB host functionality will allow your device to recognize USB devices that you would normally use on your computer such as mice, external keyboards, and most importantly, memory (thumb drives, external hard drives, etc). If you were itching to have more storage on your HD2 but do not feel like shelling out US$50 for a 32 GB microSD card, now is your chance to get more storage for a lot less money.
As good as this may sound, it still has its limitations though. Cotulla states that for the time being, it only has HID and MassStorage profiles and that it is also a proof of concept. In any case, this is a great piece of news for those of you in possession of an HD2 and who are still sticking to good old Windows Mobile. Please leave some feedback for the dev if you have a chance to test this.
this project was started long time ago, but then, during luck of free time for this project, it was suspended.
Now, because it seems very hard to improve it more, we make decision to release developed stuffs. Also more interesting projects now appear

RSSTab for HTC Sense Updated
February 1, 2011 By: Ben Elliott
It’s been a while since meltwater‘s much-requested RSSTab for HTC Sense (Windows Mobile) hit the web, and it has evolved considerably in the mean time.
The omission of an RSS-displaying Sense tab was always a relatively unfathomable move by HTC: one would expect that among the easy-to-access Twitter feeds and e-Books, the option to check up on RSS feeds would not be far away. However, it was not until meltwater’s mod that users could realistically find RSS information on their Windows Mobile Sense interface.
Improvements included in the updated modification are refreshed graphics and the extremely useful ability to install the tab from a .cab, as opposed to the somewhat tricky process of manually adding the Manila files.
Give the RSS tab a try by downloading it and following the instructions from this thread.

This is still a work in progress. The beta in my opinion came out wonderful~This was made so I can appreciate both widgets and wallpaper so use it wisely and pick your favorite wallies to use so you can enjoy the full experience of this theme <3Also set up everything in widgets if you want, i only changed the Main, Phone, Web, Menu, and middle widget which was changed to music via CHT settings. Try it out with a couple of your own custom icons, i’ll also release fonts to use with this theme. Use the dulce one since this one doesn’t have all the icons in place.

Give Windows Mobile Coloured People Tab Icons
October 16, 2010 By: Ben Elliott
When looking through the xda-developers forums, interesting tweaks for your phone’s interface are never hard to find. Originally posted in an EnergyROM thread, XDA member merlin76‘s colourful changes to the default look of HTC Sense were worth sharing on a larger scale.
After receiving inspiration from the coloured tab icons in the Manila build found in the HTC HD Mini ROM, merlin76 felt motivated to port the brighter alternatives to HTC’s regular symbols to some more popular devices.
merlin76′s tab icons should be fully functional with any WVGA-resolution Windows Mobile device and are available to download as a .cab from this post.
Modify Various HTC Sense Icons
October 16, 2010 By: Ben Elliott
XDA member and increasingly more well-known graphics modifier davej has recently come up with another addition to his long line of HTC Sense modifications.
davej’s recoloured Contacts and Messaging icons offer a quick solution the problem of your phone’s Sense interface looking stale and tired. The original alternative icons, attached in the thread’s first post, include all of the small, square buttons found in the People tab of Manila. However, davej has frequently updated the thread, adding new modifications along the way such as SMS icons and message avatars.
If you would like to give HTC Sense a new lick of paint, download davej’s icons in .png or .cab format from the original thread.
Transparent WaitCursor for WM
October 13, 2010 By: orb3000
Making a time travel trough the infinite threads floating around we found WaitCursor, an application created by XDA member Marshall07 that will let you change the wait cursor on your Windows Mobile device. A big collection of many different style icons to change your actual cursor can be found on the developer’s original thread. You can even create your own wait cursor.
Despite the app is quite old still has good acceptance from members with newer devices. Working on WM6.5 and up for VGA and QVGA resolutions.
